Act of Love

Act of Love to the Sacred Heart

Reveal Thy Sacred Heart to me, O Jesus, and show me Its attractions. Unite me to It for ever. Grant that all my aspirations and all the beats of my heart, which cease not even while I sleep, may be a testimonial to Thee of my love for Thee and may say to Thee: Yes, Lord, I am all Thine; the pledge of my allegiance to Thee rests ever in my heart and will never cease to be there. Do Thou accept the slight amount of good that I do and be graciously pleased to repair all my wrongdoing; so that I may be able to bless Thee in time and in eternity. Amen.

Old Business:

Conceptual Plan Viewing on May 8/9 and May 15/16

  • PPC and PFC read over all comments and general discussion ensued
  • About 40 people took an active interest in viewing the conceptual plans and spoke with PPC and PFC about their reactions. The phase by phase approach was much appreciated. Some had economic concerns. Ten out of the forty parishioners that attended the viewing expressed dissatisfaction with some aspects of Phase II and did not want to proceed with any more changes after that.

New Business:

Correspondence:

  • Craig read a letter from Mary Hernes and Pauline Moldenhauer
  • Craig read Henry Doherty’s letter. Henry has resigned from the Building Committee effective April 8, 2010

Telephone call with Mr. Kim

  • Fr. Terry spoke with Mr. Kim about a small adjustment to the plans. Mr. Kim suggested constructing a 10’ x 10’ mechanical room and eliminating the storage room. Consequently there would be an outside entrance to the mechanical room and the church wall would not be disturbed. The proposed belfry, if built, would be free standing, not built on the roof of the mechanical building.

Next proposed meeting: June 23, 2010
